Weekend project

What you'll learn ▸
  • Deploy a keyword-to-page map that separates 2 AM burst-pipe emergencies, water heater decisions, and recurring drain work so each search lands on a page built to convert it
  • Publish a full month of plumbing-specific GBP posts from eight ready-to-edit templates, including camera-inspection proof posts that pre-sell high-ticket sewer work
  • Launch a water heater money page, FAQ set, and review scripts matched to the three plumbing customer moments that generate calls and reviews

Three Customers, Three Pages, One Overloaded Services Page

The most expensive mistake in plumbing SEO is a single page called Plumbing Services trying to serve three people who have nothing in common. One of them has water coming through a ceiling at two in the morning. One is deciding between repairing and replacing a fifteen-year-old water heater, a decision worth a few thousand dollars that they will think about for a week. One has a slow drain and wants it cleared for under a hundred and fifty dollars. Same trade, same company, three entirely different searches, and a page written for all of them speaks properly to none.

The emergency searcher makes the fastest decision in home services. Water is actively causing damage, the cost of waiting compounds by the minute, and they will call the first Map Pack result that says open now and actually answers. Second place gets essentially nothing. Nearly all of that outcome is determined before the emergency happens — by ranking, by accurate hours, and by whether a human picks up at 2 a.m.

The water heater buyer is the opposite and the most profitable to compete for. They have days, they are reading about tank versus tankless, capacity, recovery rate, and whether the leak at the base means the tank is finished. Almost every plumbing site treats this as one line on a services list, which means the customer forms their entire opinion on someone else's content and then requests three quotes.

Drain work looks like low-value volume, and treated on its own it is. Its real function is acquisition: it puts your technician in a house, on a small ticket, with the chance to be the company that homeowner already trusts when the water heater fails or a line backs up. That only pays if the review gets requested and the customer remembers your name.

This pack maps those three customers to three separate pages with their own keyword sets, gives you the water heater content that wins a multi-day decision, and builds a review cadence around the small jobs that quietly generate the big ones.
